Karate Kid: Legends Release Date in India
The beloved Karate Kids franchise is gearing up for its latest installment, 'Karate Kid: Legends,' which is set to premiere in theaters across India today, May 30, 2025. This film marks the return of the iconic Jackie Chan, who will reprise his role as Mr. Han.
Joining Chan in this exciting new chapter are Ralph Macchio, Joshua Jackson, Sadie Stanley, and Ming-Na Wen. The previous film in the series was released in 2010, featuring Jaden Smith alongside Jackie Chan, Taraji P. Henson, and others.
'Karate Kid: Legends' continues the narrative established in the series 'Cobra Kai.' The plot centers around Li Fong, a kung fu prodigy who relocates to New York. As he navigates his new environment, he grapples with his past and eventually encounters Mr. Han and Daniel LaRusso, learning to blend different martial arts styles for an epic showdown.
In a recent discussion with a media outlet, director Jonathan Entwistle expressed his enthusiasm for casting Ben Wang in the film. He stated, “We sought an actor fluent in Mandarin, skilled in martial arts, and adaptable enough to resonate with a diverse audience.”
Entwistle further praised Wang's audition, noting, “His acting was exceptional, but it was his dedication to mastering martial arts that truly impressed me and confirmed he was the right choice.”
